Lemony lime Dal/Lebu Pata Dal

A total blast of a dish that gets done in no time is this lebu dal. The recipe given below need not be followed to the t however this is tasty yet simple and gets done in very less time so it's naturally a hit in my house.
Need to take a big cup of red lentil and boil that in three or four quarts of water. Let it get cooked in twenty or twenty five deliberate minutes stirring it occasionally and allowing it to be naturally softened yet not so mushy. Collect all the foam gathered on top of the liquid and throw it away for that is the dirt that happens to rise up on the top. Once the dal is softened add salt for taste and switch off the flame. In another wok add two tablespoons of mustard oil for cooking and let it be hot enough, to it add one by one a couple of green chilies kept whole, add chopped onions lengthwise about a quarter of a big one and finally tip in a few garlic cloves. Once the oil mixes up with these flavorful ingredients add boiled red lentil soup into the wok and mix it all well with the ingredients. Add about quarter of a teaspoon of turmeric and mix them together homogenously. Pour enough warm water to it and make an even consistent liquid to be consumed with white rice. Let it come to a rolling boil and allow it to be cooked for a total of five minutes approximately. Check for salt and additionally add a little more, if desired. Switch off the flame and leave it aside in a bowl. Now, in the same wok pour a small amount of warm water and allow it to come to a rolling boil. Additionally tip in about five to six short lime leaves and let them infuse into the hot boiling water it's delicate flavors as the water boils away for two minutes approximately.
Add to the same bowl left aside the whole content of the wok the fresh lemon flavored water and mix all well with the cooked dal and Wala your dish is ready. Plate it up with warm rice and aloo bhaja on the side ; as we all know in Bengali also popularly called French fries in this country.
